My name is Alex Bertrand, AKA (SANDBAG). I am a Brazilian Ju-jitsu Black Belt with over a 15yrs experience. I have been competing since day 1 and have made the transition to coaching and competing professionally many years ago. I have won Gold at almost every belt Level, and went Pro at the Brown Belt. I am a Rise Invitational veteran, Men of war vet, and have won titles in Gi & no Gi. I have appeared on UFC Fight Pass numerus times, as well as briefly competing in MMA and being successful from 2017-2020. I have brought 14 Championship belts home to my team. My goal now is to bring all my experiences to my students and clients to help them each reach their own specific goals as efficiently as possible. I want and will create the future champions and coaches of tomorrow.


Ruth Gillespie is a certified Athletic Trainer and NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist. She got her Athletic Training degree from Stony Brook University, where she ran cross country and track. She has a Masters degree in Exercise Science from the University of Central Oklahoma. Her specialities include injury prevention, injury rehabilitation, sports specific training, strength and flexibility/mobility training, boxing and kickboxing coach.

Renzo Mendoza is 39 years old and has 8 years of training experience. He holds a record of 1 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw in amateur bouts.

From Renzo: "Born and raised in Peru I always loved contact sports and martial arts, but once I tried Muay Thai for the first time, it was all I wanted to do. Keeps my mind sharp and in my body in good shape. It gives me a better view of life and whenever I find obstacles in my path ...I know all I have to do it’s try harder and keep pushing forward. I love what I do and do what I love, training others has also helped me understand a little better the techniques and I want to make sure they learn technique before anything else while having fun and enjoying the work out. Working out hard doesn’t mean it can’t be fun.


DJ (Delvin) Hodges has over 15 years of coaching experience, in Muay Thai, strength & conditioning, and general fitness training. Whether you want to learn how to punch/ kick, fight, or lift properly, DJ is your guy. He is an OG member of the UFC Gym Mamaroneck coaching team.

DJ also is a guitarist in his free time & has been part of both a punk band & metal band.


A West Indian native from the Spice Island of Grenada, Dwight is an all around athlete and academic with AS in Math and Science, BS in Biochemistry, and is also working towards a MS degree in medicine. In his early years, Dwight’s love for fitness and sports originated with soccer, then evolved into dominating track and field events, and playing high school and college football. His knowledge of combat fighting and training was taught by active members of various armed services. He has endured extensive training with Special Forces, such as the USMC SOF RANGERS and SEALs, and was able to hone his skills and expertise. Dwight also holds numerous fitness certifications including Level 2 CrossFit coach, and LA Boxing/UFC Muay Thai, kickboxing and boxing instructor. He has competed in several Crossfit events, including national Regionals and local competitions.

With his years of education and training, Dwight uses his knowledge and understanding of the human body and it’s mechanisms, functions to provide his clients and members with truly personalized training.


From an early age, Jordan Miller has been drawn to the pursuit of physical fitness, self defense, and competition. From his father (Karate Black Belt; US Air Force Veteran) training him in martial arts, to his success in Wrestling (multiple MVP, Silver medalist in NYC championship, 2010), he has always been familiar with hard work and dedication.

Additionally, Jordan has amassed an extensive knowledge of body mechanics and training styles over the course of 13 years. He excels in physique sculpting and strength building through dedicated weight training regimens.

As a personal trainer, Jordan has found a passion that extends beyond himself, and he is eager to help as many people as possible achieve their goals!
